The Center for Advancement of Post-Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering Sciences, Faculty of Engineering-Cairo University (CAPSCU) has organized a seminar in cooperation with the Energy Research Center (ERC) of the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University on Tuesday the 17^th of February 2004.

The Seminar has taken place at the Faculty Council Hall of and hosted by the Dean, Dr. Ali Abdul Rahman, Dr. Ahmed Bahgat Director of the Energy Research Center and Dr. Mohamed Megahed Director of the Center for Advancement of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering Sciences. The attendees were Faculty staff members, Dr. Slim El-Tlatli Director of Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), Dr. Hany El-Ghazali Contract / Log frame Manger and Dr Abla A. Latif Manager of Policy Support Unit and Eng Hassan Shaarawy, Director of the National Quality Control Unit.

A presentation was made by the Director of the Industrial Modernization Center explaining the activities of IMC and the areas of cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering and the IMC. Another presentation has been done by the Dean about the capabilities of the Faculty of Engineering represented by its experienced staff, research centers and laboratories. A round table discussion took place about how these resources can be employed to help in the activities of the IMC to promote the Egyptian Industry.
