PHE/EG project, which started in September 2002, is an international grant contracted between Cairo University and Ford Foundation managed by CAPSCU in two phases. This project aims at enhancing skills of socially disadvantaged (underprivileged) groups among junior and senior undergraduates as well as graduates of Egyptian Universities including those located in the Upper Egypt governorates. The objective is to improve their capacity to access post-graduate studies and/or to acquire better employment opportunities.
The partners of Pathways on its second Phase are carefully selected to enable successful implementation of the project on the national level. They are Cairo, Ain-Shams, Assiut, Helwan, Minia, South Valley, Fayoum, Bani Swaif and Sohag Universities in addition to the Future Generation Foundation (FGF) and the National Council for Women (NCW) which forms the project Steering Committee. These distinguished partners help Pathways Management team in the policy formation and implementation of the project training activities in Upper Egypt governorates.
